Well yesterday was our 9th Wedding Anniversary. The day has been tainted since the terrorist attacks 7 years ago. I was bummed about it yesterday and Tom was great to remind me that it is ok for the day to be tainted because our marriage is not. I agreed and we tried to salvage the day. Tom was supposed to be going out of town yesterday for the weekend but he got the stomach bug Wednesday and was still under the weather yesterday morning. He felt much better by afternoon. Yesterday was also our puppy Mollie's birthday and Mason was relentless about having a birthday for her. I thought if I got her some new toys that would be ok but he was determined that we take her to the dog park. Yes there is a such thing, where people bring their dogs and they play and swim. So we all loaded up and went. Mason just loves it there, he runs around and dogs chase him. Sollie loved it and got in the water, Mollie was unsure about it and stayed under the table most of the time. I think Tom and I are going to try and go out this weekend. I am so blessed to be married to such a great guy. Tom is very selfless and considerate of my feelings, and a wonderful dad. Our marriage seems to be getting better with time,I am looking forward to many more year.
Speaking of marriage Tom and I are planning on going to see a movie called Fireproof. It is a movie focusing on marriage and keeping your marriage strong and not leaving your partner behind. Here is a link to the website with the trailer. http://www.fireproofthemovie.com/
This is a Christian based film that is produced by the same people who made the movie Facing the Giants. Which is a wonderful movie about seeking God to Face the Giants in your life. If you have not seen it I recommend you see it. It is wonderfully inspirational and challenging. I expect great things from the movie Fireproof and plan on seeing it on opening day.
