SO I got to tag along on a business trip with Tom, well that is how is started out. Tom and some colleagues are trying to open a salvage yard in Bermuda. They do not have one and are throwing cars into the beautiful ocean. So there was supposed to be meeting in Bermuda and wives were going to tag a long. The weather in Bermuda is like San Francisco, not very warm but nice. The meeting in Bermuda got cancelled so the guys made a decision to go the Grand Cayman so the wives could do the tropical thing. There was some work done but mostly just play.
It was rough getting out of town. The night before we were to leave the worst storms I have ever seen came through town. I took the kids to moms and was going to head home but Tom said say. We watched it hail like crazy. The kids thought it was neat they had never seen hail. That wave passed so I said my good byes and headed home, only to get stuck in the next wave of the storm. I barely made it to the gas station in Ingles parking lot and saw golf ball or larger size hail hit my windshield. It was the worst storm I have ever seen and I was not in a safe place, but I am ok. The van got beat up pretty bad, lots of hail damage to the hood and windshield has two cracks in it. A lot of people suffered major house damage so we were lucky. So our flights were delayed the next day but we made it to Caymans late.
We had a wonderful time. I slept late, read 2 books, ate lots of yummy food, and rested by pool or beach for 3 days. It was just heavenly.
All dress up to go out to dinner one night. The sunset was beautiful there. I definitely saw God’s wonderful power in the beauty of the sunset.
Now sun has passed peak but still so pretty.
Dinner on our last night. So relaxed and having a great time.
Ohh I can’t talk about our trip without talking about the lizards. They were everywhere. Running under our chairs. It was so fun to watch the birds chase the lizards. We thought of Mason the whole time. He would love to chase them around.
The Sunsets were amazing. My favorite part.
