I know everyone says it but its so true. Time is flying by. 2012 was a great year for us. Tom & I focused on being deliberate and were successful in lots of areas. WE have not discussed the word were are going to focus on this year yet but will very soon. Here is a monthly look at our year.
January
Miles received the Admiral Spirit award, and both the boys played basketball
February
A Valentine’s day tea and a visit from John Pierce and Becca
March
The boys participated in Bible Bowl and did wonderful and went on a Civil War trip in the camper with Grandpa and Tom. They went to Washington, DC.
April
Mason turned 8, Miles began his competitive baseball career, and Easter
May
May was a big month for Anna. She lost her first tooth, learned to ride her bike without training wheels, graduated from Kindergarten, danced in her ballet recital and got a big hair cut. We also had deep sadness in May with the loss of our beloved old dog Sollie. And MacKenzie was born.
June
June was just fun, All 3 kids did swim team, we went to the beach with mom and my sisters, I picked out a new puppy for us, we took the boys to a Braves vs. Yankees game, Anna turned 6 and we had tons of fun on the boat.
July
July was fun and busy. I did Bible School at our church, our family grew with our puppy coming to live with us, Georgia girl. There was tons of swimming, and Miles did the Call me Maybe for a lip-sync contest at church.
August
Everyone went to full day school in August. Miles in 4th grade, Mason 3rd grade and Anna in Kindergarten (again). Was a huge adjustment for me. Miles turned 10 and had some friends out on the boat to celebrate.
September
Go Vols, Georgia is growing and we love her so, and more baseball.
October
October was a month I will never forget. Miles got baptized. Anna sang “It is Well with my soul” at the family retreat with Tom, we rode the Virginia Creeper with Tom’s parents and enjoyed Halloween and had family pictures taken.
November
I did not take a single picture in November.
December
Oh December was just magical as it should be. Pancakes with santa, Miles played basketball, we enjoyed all the activities Christmas has to offer, enjoyed our time with Becca and Billy and their little ones.
What a blessed year we had. I will try to take more pictures in 2013 and do a better job documenting out crazy fun lives.
