Mason turned 5 on Wednesday and I just can not believe he is 5 and will be going to Kindergarten. I am once again reminded that I am leaving the baby stage of my life and it saddens my heart and leaves me looking forward to a new stage with sports, music lessons, sleep overs and all things boy.
Mason is such a precious boy. He is tender hearted and loving. He shows love by wrestling and punching (dad mostly), mom needs hugs. He wants his brother around most of the time, but also has a grudge holding problem. He tends to point out the unfairness of life through tears and we try to counteract that with lots of one on one time. He is so funny, although he does not think so. If he does something funny and everyone laughs he cries thinking everyone is laughing at him. He just does not understand that concept yet. He has a spirit that grasp your heart, he speaks with such emotion and enthusiasm that you want to eat him up. He loves animals; all animals and dreams of becoming a vet one day. He has become so social this year, making new friends. He looks at life so differently from me. I know God gave him to me so I could see his side of the world and I have to tell you that I love every second with him, and not every second is fun, because we are so different it is hard for me to understand his view of life. I am so black and white and he is so gray and fun. He just bubbles over with personality and you can't help but be caught up in him. He is also extremely smart. He is having some trouble crossing the mid line of his body. Meaning tapping right hand to left knee is a hard task for him. This undeveloped skill is affecting his handwriting. He is receiving therapy weekly and does exercises at home. He will be ready for Kindergarten in the fall. He is playing baseball this season. WOW 5 years of Mason sweetness! I can't wait to see what the future holds for him. I hope you all get a sense of who is is because he is so special. I LOVE him so much!
Enjoy the pictures of him in Toms' shirt a birthday tradition!
