Breaking from Christmas Posting!

I promise to post about Christmas tomorrow but I need to document this during this year. I just never blogged about it and I want it on here for documentation sake. SO Miles got a basketball goal for his birthday (yes back in August) and the boys had such a great project of installing it. So this was a big project for Tom and Miles was such a big help. First they had to dig a large hole, mix the concrete, fill the hole, level the concrete, install the post, then place the board on after it dries. It was a family affair. Enjoy the pics, you will notice it was very hot.

Let the fun begin.
How much deeper do we need to go?

So we traded our Quad for a Polarias Ranger since it is safer and holds more people and Tom taught Miles how to drive it. Yes he is driving it all by himself.

Mixing Concrete. A first for me.

Mixing, Mixing and more Mixing.

It has to be level.

The finished Product.

I am so glad we went ahead and got this for him. I was not sure he would enjoy it since he has never played basket ball before. I just felt that all boys need a goal in the driveway. Miles has started basketball this month. He plays his first game next week and appears to have natural talent. Looks like he is trading the baseball for a basketball.
