The boys joined cub scouts this year and have had a wonderful time. Tom and I were very skeptical of scouts, thinking it was going to be nerdy, but it has been wonderful. They have learned so much and done some really cool things. The coolest thing we have done so far is the Pinewood Derby.

Mason’s car won 2 races so he got to race again and he ends up winning 1st place in his den.

We look forward to next year. We now know what to expect so we are looking forward to building 2 more cars next year.

Well tell the boys that Mr. Hughes is an Eagle Scout and as his wife, I LOVE it!! He knows so much about everything. And camping with him is the most fun of all because we could literally survive in the wilderness for days with him. :) He's actually going to hike 35 miles of the Appalachian Trail next month with some buddies! So tell them to keep it up!
