City Meet Finals

So to make it to the City Finals you need to be in the top 16. Both the boys made it to the finals in a relay and individual event.

Miles

He was placed 5th in the breast stroke from his fastest time in breast stroke. When it was his turn to swim the breast there was a false start and he did not hear the noise so he swam the whole race. He got his best time at 23.49 seconds. He did a new pull out technique he learned. So when he had to redo the race he did not do the new technique and his time was much slower. Oh Well he still placed 13 so he got to swim in the finals.

Miles is so serious and gotten so big.

GO Baby Go! He ended up not swimming his best time but ended up number 13 out of 75 8 & under breast stroke.

His mixed free relay got 1st in city swim so they got to swim in the finals. They got 1st place. He will get a medal at our swim banquet. He is super excited.

Getting pumped up for Gulfwood Gators!

I can’t tell you how excited and happy I was for him and his team. The place was packed and they called his name out over the PA system. I yelled so hard for my boys all day that I could not talk the next day. I was up in the stands and they both told me later that they could hear me and that they like it. I read a book once that said if their mom is not cheering for them who is? SO I now make it my most important job to cheer them on.

Mason also placed number 13 in the 50 meter freestyle and for his free relay.

Mason did great. He is a great little swimmer. He ended up number 13 in 50 free and his relay was number 9. I loved hearing my boys name called over big PA system. I am so proud of them. They really did so good. We will definitely be swimming again and I have a feeling it will be more than just summer swim soon.
