Christmas Day

I just love Christmas. I really decorate my house and love all things Christmasy, but I always have so much to do around Christmas to get ready for the big day that I end up over it about 5 days before the day. I just want it to be perfect and magical for my kids and I’m sure if you asked them they will tell you it is so I will keep doing what I do and hope to not get discouraged next year.

I am a bit sad that I don’t have as many pictures as I normally do. Silly cold got the best of me.

Coming downstairs. Look at that excitement! In birth order of course because of personalities too. Miles always has to be first and Anna just lets everyone go before her.

Santa brought both boys an ipod touch. I said no to it so they asked Santa and he fulfilled the wish.

Excited? I think so!

Opening his touch. He did not ask for the touch but Miles did and Santa is so smart, he knew that if one got one it would be a huge problem so he gave one to both boys. Mason said 100 times how great Santa was that he didn’t even ask for it but it is the best gift,,,EVER!

Anna got the Calico Critter house and lots of families to go with it and a Fijit friend, that she had to have and has not touched in a week. Bad toy.

Oh yes I forgot to mention that Marga, my dads wife got Mason a harmonica and he loves it!

And that my friends it the root of all my Christmas stress. I decided in middle November that I would make an afghan for Miles. I started it, the rows were to close so I started over. I got half way through and realized it was odd shaped so pulled half of what I had done out and began again. So the day before Christmas eve I finished it all without him knowing I was doing it.

And he absolutely loves, loves, loves it! of course it is Yankees colors or Farragut.

And my sweet baby girl. She was totally in love with her Christmas gifts, she is always so thankful and happy with what she has. Love her sweet face!

After breakfast with Blake, Amanda and twins we rested then headed over to my in-laws house for Denton Christmas. It is always so much fun to get together.

The whole gang. Isn’t that wonderful? Have I mentioned before that I love being part of a large family. Sometimes I wish I had one more child, then I wake up and am happy with what I got.

What a great gift for Miles. Grandpa made him a pitching mound. He loves it!

Anna was so happy to get some Lalaloopsys. She is loving them.

Christmas 2011 was a huge hit. Decorations are down the house is bare, kids are going back to school soon and I miss them already. looking forward with mixed feelings about 2012. With each passing year my kids are growing up it brings such bittersweet emotions for me.
