Mason turned 6 while we were in Destin. Just being at the beach was wonderful for him. We really made it a point to make the day be all about him and it was GREAT! He started his day with his favorite doughnut with a 6 candle in it.
Then we went to the beach! It was our warmest day and the boys really enjoyed some water fun and I took his picture in his dads shirt on the beach.
After lunch we went to the Gulfarium where there are dolphin and sea lion shows. For his gift from us he got to have a meet and greet with a dolphin.
Look at his face when he say the dolphin up close for the first time!
Next we went to the sea lion show and they were so cute.
Then we went to a show where a dolphin and sea lion have learned to be friends. In this picture the sea lion is feeding the dolphin a fish! It was so cool to watch.
Now the moment had arrived and Mason was going to get to pet that dolphin jumping up to eat that fish! He was so excited.
The meet and greet was really very neat. He got to shake hands with a dolphin named Zack. He also got to pet the top and bottom of the dolphin and touch the flippers. He feed him and got him to do a trick. It was really so neat. I was expecting something not great but was pleasantly surprised.
Its hard to see in the above picture but he was turning his finger in a circle and Zack was turning around in a circle.
AND He got WET!!!
But was ok with that!
He just kept telling us it was his best birthday ever! Here are some more pictures from the fun day.

Mason, I am so jealous! I went to Sea World 2 years ago and got to pet the dolphins and it was a highlight of my life! 1 question: have you gotten rid of the blanket???
