Miles has been looking forward to seeing the Yankees play for months. As most of you know Tom is a Mets fan. We have been to New York twice in 2 years and each time the Mets are away and we have to see the Yankees play. Everyone knows the Yankees are one of the most winniest team in baseball so Miles has claimed them as his team and Mason is a Braves fan and I am a Yankees fan now too.
The Yankees were playing the Texas Rangers. The weather was perfect, not too hot. The game was uneventful and went into extra innings. Miles was very upset he did not get to see the whole game but 10 inning is a lot of baseball.

I know who this is….Derek Jeter. Miles was so bummed because Jeter got hurt a week before our game and he was not playing. Maybe next time we will see him play.
Miles picked out a Yankees hat and has worn it everyday and night since we got it. He takes it off to sleep, swim, bathe and church but that is it. He is already trying to figure out how he can wear it to school. His idea is to wear it on bus and keep it in backpack during school and wear it home. We shall see.
The next day we returned home. It too 12.5 hours to get home. The kids were great travelers for the whole 2 weeks. We made memories I hope we will remember forever.
