Miles loves Baseball

To say that Miles loves baseball is an understatement. He is so obsessed with it. His newly redecorated room is all baseball(another post). He practices all the time and only wants baseball things. I love that he is so passionate about something.

His team this season was not very good and they only won one game. Miles played very solid though. He mostly played 3rd base and he plays it well. One game he got 3 picks off 3rd base. That means the runner tried to steal 3rd base and the pitcher threw Miles the ball and he got the runner out. Impressive for one game.

He also pitched several games. He is getting better at pitching every time he does it. He loves pitching.

He has had some baseball disappointment this season as well. Miles tried out for a travel competitive baseball team and did not make it. Most of his friends did and he was crushed, which crushed me. He cried so hard and was very blue for about 3 days. We talked a lot about it and have decided to turn out sadness into determination to get better so we can make it next year.

Sometimes he is too obsessed with it but I love that he is driven to be good at something. My prayer for him is that he works hard at whatever he wants and reaches his goals, no matter the activity.
