Warning this post will be picture OVERLOAD!
We were lucky enough to be able to have a behind the scenes tour of Neyland Stadium. Tom was invited, through work, to bring his family to the tour and we all got to go to the UT game. It was a wonderful weekend. Of course my little Tennessee fan….Mason was beside himself to be able to see Neyland Stadium.
We started our tour in the press box section. Oh my they are wonderful. My personal favorite is the club level section because you sit outside, covered in super comfy chairs and can go in to nice bathrooms and catered food. Maybe one day.
We also got to visit the room all the media use during a game. Super cool.
Look at that face. Do you think he is having any fun?
Now on to the field. WOW is about all I can say. Mason was a tad disappointed because he wanted to run on the T and we could not because it was just painted. If you have never seen a football field up close you would not know that there is a large grade in the field. It has a large hump in the center and sloped downward so water can drain off. Who knew?
I think it was this point he told us this was the best day of his life…..better than Christmas.
Off to the Locker Room
I was pretty full of nostalgia when we say this sign. This is a Tennessee tradition and I got to see it and I even jumped up to touch it. No pictures of that, but pictures of my boys touching it. For those of you who don’t know each player touches this sign as they exit the locker room for a game.
Coach Mason telling you all about his new requites he just got. Did I mention Mason is a huge Tennessee fan……like room is orange and white.
The next day was game day and it was a perfect fall football day. Cool in the shade and warm in the sun. We went early and enjoyed some tailgating fun thanks to the company.
My favorite part the “Power T”
What a wonderful memorable weekend!
