Bible Bowl 2012

Our church participates in a Bible Bowl for children 2nd to 5th grade. This year the study was from Genesis. 540 questions to be exact. We started studying the weekend of Thanksgiving and studied every day except weekends till February. Once February came it was non stop studying.

AND all that studying paid off. My boys did great. AWESOME!!!!!

My Mason is so smart. He has the ability to retain facts and piece together information. We learned he learns best if I read out loud to him and that he also does well if he plays his DS while studying. Can you believe that? Unheard of to me. He earned his spot of the top team. Out of 35 kids Mason was the 4th best. He tested that well in the mock bowl for team placement. And Miles was 5th. Did not sit well.

They have 3 rounds of 20 questions each round. Then the top teams go on to the leaders circle. Miles only missed 5 questions out of 60 Mason missed 12. He was really nervous since this was his first year.

But his team got 1st place overall.

And Miles got a trophy for being in 5th place because he only missed 5 questions.

 

I am so proud of them. We all worked so hard and they were proud of themselves. WE look forward to next year Matthew!
